Chapter 10: A Strange Encounter

Yaki sat in the back of her class sitting in wonder as her thoughts moved faster than the world around her.

'Suki isn't here again. I wonder if she's shooken up with what happened last night?'

She thought back to the dog eating the other one.

'Hell I don't even think I'm over it completely.'

"...And now uhh Yaki! Would you mind answering the question to number four for me dear?"

Yaki looked at the teacher who cut her thoughts in half.

"Uh 2^34."

"Thank you Yaki, Now class..."

'Natsuki has been skipping a lot of school anyways regardless of it being that. I wonder why she does though?'

Yaki twirled her pencil on the desk just as her thoughts did.

'Whenever I asked she always just gave me some lousy excuse. Like saying "Didn't feel like coming." I wish she would at least try to come a little more often.'

*Ring*

The halls crowded as the final bell rang as Yaki was still packing her book-bag in an empty classroom.

"Yaki?"

"Yes, Sensei Panwa?"

"Your notes were empty again today weren't they?"

As much as Yaki hated to admit it she was in fact smart really smart.

"Yes Sensei Panwa, I completely forgot to write down the answers."

"If you were any other student I'd say you wouldn't know what is going on in class but you seem to know what you're doing. You know that if it wasn't for the rule "Initial Skip" you would probably be put up another year."

"Thank you sensei."

Yaki started to exit the class.

'I wonder what Aku is up to?'

*Snatch*

Yaki repositions herself as she almost fell watching 3 girls run around the corner with her book bag.

'My cassette player!'

She pats her pocket in comfort feeling her cassette player and headphones.

'Aku's gonna be pissed at having to buy me another bag.'

Yaki opened the school's door's.

'I might be able to take the shortcut today.'

Yaki made her way into an alleyway putting her headphones on.

*Shrieks*

Yaki turned towards the noises of screams down another part of the alley but it was dark and cut off. The screams continued as she started to run.

'What the fuck is that? Sounded like a person screaming.'

She looked behind as she took a turn. Yaki then bumped into someone, a rather tall and lanky person. His hair was long but his face wasn't very visible with his hair and coat both helping cover it.

"What's a young girl like you doing in an alleyway all alone?"

"I-I-"

"Why the stutter? Is something wrong?"

"I'm on my way home."

"Well this is definitely a dangerous route home. This place especially is a very dangerous place to be."

"It's just a shortcut to my house. I didn't know sir. I've taken this route before."

'This is the 12th time I've taken this route. The weirdest thing to happen so far was seeing two rats fight over some moldy food.'

"Well be careful girl and I'd recommend finding a new route home."

"Thank you mister, have a nice day!"

Yaki sped walked past him around a corner.

"Oh my day? My day is going to be quite nice...Yaki!"

He pulled off his coat revealing his formal attire and his long wrongly black hair. He smiled with intent. Walking towards the way Yaki came from. He entered the dark alley where as he heard the screams of someone but there was a wall in front of him. He slowly raised his hand touching the wall.

It crumbled.

As the wall came down he looked at a girl's ocean blue eyes and brown hair. Two other bodies laid close to her.

*Muffled screams*

"Shhhhh..."

The man kneeled down by one of the bodies.

"Do you know how long a sheep's life span is?"

"Please let me go! Please!"

"Around 10 to 12 years give or take-"

"I'll give you anything! My body, Money, anything you want. My name it's Tami Heart. I'm the daughter of-"

"Shhhh!"

The man placed his hand on Brea.

"Please no! Don't kill her!"

"A sheep is a beautiful animal but it dies typically during half of its lifespan."

He looked up to Tami.

"Tell me how old is this girl here?"

"SHE'S 16 PLEASE!"

"She's already dead."

"NO NO PLEASE!"

Brea's body slowly turned to bits and pieces until it was nothing.

"NOoo!"

He walked towards her.

"I have plans for you."

As he raised his hands over her.

"Please no...No."

He put both hands on her face as he laughed.

"I am going to have one hell of a day!"
