Chapter 4: . . .

10/03/2023

Who am I? Who am I ought to be? I am buried with these walls, I see through eyes that aren't mine. I want to belong. I want to be alive. And so I will be..

*Vvvvwooshhh*

I was shot out of the sky.

"Wooo whoooo!!" The adrenaline was awesome. I could feel it in my guts. Free falling.

For the first time I felt alive. Truly alive. Like nothing could ever stop me. And honestly nothing ever has. At least nothing that has tried so far could.

The ground inched closer every millisecond. I braced for the impact, and as soon as I was 6 feet from ground I spread my arms open exposing my selfly made wingsuit, and it fucking worked!

"Woo hoo!!" It felt great. I came across a beach flying close to the ground dodging people left and right blowing sand in the air.

"Hey fuckface!" A man flipped me off. But honestly I didn't care.

I plugged forward and leaned up going further into the air. I glided over the sea water breathing in the scent of an ocean breeze.

It was exhilarating. The waves were then sliced by a deep blue pointy figure. And then it plunged at me, and this only added into my adrenaline. I laughed as each of its teeth shined brightly in the sunlight. I wrapped my arms around myself as I began to spin in the air, and then opened quickly as I turned facing the sky, sending me straight up, and dodging the great devastation of a shark's teeth. I laughed as I watched it fall back into the water and swim away.

I then turned around as my eyes absorbed the colors of a sea stack. I tried to dodge it but I was too late, I ran my left arm into it ripping apart the fabric of the wingsuit. I then slammed into a pillar of rock landing on top of an adjacent sea stack.

I rolled fiercely, nearly falling off the edge.

"Goddamn that was close." I laughed. "Nearly too close. I then stood up and brushed it off and as soon as I did the ground I stood upon broke sending me into the water. I lost my stance and fell rolling off and away from the rock.

*splash*

I landed in the water floating on my back. I smiled brightly thinking that I could do that because I'm free, free and alive.

. . .

The sun had set as I washed upon the shore. "Damn I'm Soaked." I said laughing my ass off like some jackass.

I walked to my bike I had parked in a lot close to an apartment complex.

I dried myself off and put on my warm heavy coat and attempted a quick stitch fix to my wingsuit. I then watched as the sun was setting, the sky was slightly clouded at the time. I thought of a place for a better view and that's when it caught my eye, the roof of the apartment complex.

The place where my story began.

When I reached the rooftops the sun was completely gone, and the rain began to fall.

"Ahahaha!! Well isn't this weather lovely?" I thought to myself. And it felt so real.

"Agh!!" A young man sat up startled.

Itachi.. So this is where our story begins…

I guess I never had much thought for myself. It always was. What if I were to die today? Would anything change? If I were to die today?Would you be okay?

Since the start of it I had been there, looking out for you, looking out for myself, until one day it wasn't What if I was to die today.

It was What if I were to live? I choose to believe every lie I was told, for time is what holds us back. If we can believe to ourselves that we truly deserve to live, even if it's a lie, then hopefully by one day, we'll begin to see it.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side, it's greener where you give it the most care. That even the smallest light can be seen within the darkness.

Tell me what moves you.. Tell me why should I live…
