Chapter 5: Challenge The Reaper
Grimm and Naomi walked side by side down long white halls in silence till it was broken.
"What happened to you? My memories are foggy when I fought you as a demon but it doesn't take a lot of memory to know something changed." - Naomi
"The Grimm you knew before me is not who you should start remembering me by." - Grimm
"What the hell does that mean?" - Naomi
"It means stay focused." - Grimm
*Multiple gun clicks*
23 guards held rifles getting ready to gun the 2 of them down.
"Naomi, handle this." - Grimm
"FIRE!" - Head Guard
Time seemed to slow as the first bullet shot off, Naomi looked in amazement.
'With these powers...it doesn't matter where they are from, they feel amazing! I'm faster than a bullet, A lot faster in fact. I could probably kill them all in one fell swoop if I wanted to…hmmm I know I'll leave the big guy left!" - Naomi
*Slice*
22 of the guard's bodies fell apart in chunks as Naomi was by the body chunks all the way on the left. The Head Guards eyes were distraught.
'We were holding creatures like this? We are all gonna die! I need to run!' - Head Guard
*Squelch*
One of the chunks of meat started to move as if it was reforming.
It was.
A naked woman stood where the meat was originally.
"That was fast, and hot. Tell me what's your name?" - Strange Woman
Naomi looked over at Grimm as he stood unfazed.
"Don't look at me, keep your eyes on your opponent." - Grimm
The Woman was suddenly on top of Naomi on the floor.
"So tell me you like it rough or gentle?" - Strange Woman
Naomi blushed.
"Oh wait I'm sorry what was your name!" - Strange Woman
*Tink*
Naomi moved her head slightly as a knife was lodged into the ground next to her.
"Wow you are fast! You might even be faster than Damon!" - Strange Woman
She stood up as clothes appeared to wrap around her gently.
"I'll be honest Little girl, I'm not here for you, I'm here for that man over there. So what do you say? Want to team up? I'll give you a nice reward afterward!" - Strange Woman
She winked
"I'm sorry, as of an intriguing offer that is, that man would kill the both of us even if we teamed up. He also is doing me a favor soon, so if you want to get to him you must get through me!" - Naomi
"Mmm so cute!" - Strange Woman
The woman felt up on herself for a moment.
"Just because you're so cute I'll let you know my name then you can tell me yours after." - Strange Woman
The woman's clothes then sharpened at the ends a bit.
"My name is Kat and yours?" - Strange Woman
"Naomi!" - Naomi
Kat's clothes then completely sharpened at the ends of her now dress. As Naomi finished saying her name.
'What the?' - Naomi
Grimm watched as Kat's dress each thread was as sharp as a knife.
'Her clothes reacted to Naomi when she said her name must be a contract technique.' - Grimm
'I'm still faster than her!' - Namoi
Naomi then dashed at Kat as she made contact with the dress, some of the threads of the dress then grabbed around her arm.
"HAHA stupid girl when my dress hears your name it starts to read your attacks. I myself have no powers other than being immortal. My dress is my weapon!"
*SLASH*
Naomi cut through the dress and her body in half as she then stood up fast enough to start slashing at her body more.
'I must cut her into even tinier pieces no matter how many it takes a thousand, a million pieces, a billion even, it doesn't matter because I'm faster If I just keep cutting she can't regenerate fast enough!' - Naomi
The Head Guard made an unpleasant noise as someone had stabbed his chest behind him with their bare hands. He had black spiked hair that was over gelled, with a tank top, and baggy jeans with chains on it.
"Hey!" - Damon
Naomi looked over at him as the pieces of meat from Kat were almost impossible to see as they fell to the floor.
"Now, now you look interesting but I came to tango with the real bull of the bunch!" - Damon
"Who are you?" - Naomi
"My name doesnt matter to you, but you!" - Damon
He pointed at Grimm eagerly.
"You can call me Damon "The Fastest Demon Alive" and I'm gonna kill the Reaper!" - Damon
Grimm looked.
Damon Looked with Tenacity.
Grimm's look however was unbothered.
"Kill him." - Grimm
Naomi jumped out of nowhere as she went to strike at Damon his body began to shine blue as electricity started to spur around his body. Naomi made contact but her hand was shocked, stopping her from slashing at his body. She backed up as fast as possible.
"You can't kill what you can't touch!" - Damon
'Interesting?' - Grimm
Naomi and Damon stared at each other in the eyes. One thing was very apparent from the moment their auras met.
'They're fast!' - Damon and Naomi
Damon moved his foot slightly
*Swish*
*Crackle*
Damon set his hand on Naomi's shoulder as he chuckled.
'So fast!' - Naomi
*skiff*
Damon Naomi kicked but she blocked it. Holding contact with his kick she felt the electricity as if it was trying to fry her. It shocks her arm over and over again until it starts to boil.
*Slash*
Damon moved his leg fast enough to avoid the slash as he then went for a punch. Naomi dodged as they clashed once again with tension breaking air between them.
'He's fast. I need to pull everything I got into this fight!' - Naomi
Naomi then flash stepped back holding a defensive boxer position.
'I'll wait for him to fight me again up close.'
-The air got dry-
"I'm not stupid! HAHA!" - Damon
*CRASH*
*CRACKLE*
Lightning crackled all around Damon and the room as he pointed his arms out like a diver aiming a gun. All the lightning in the room then ceased as it surrounded his arms. It was all so fast.
"Bang!" - Damon
The lighting shot out of his hand.
'A bolt of lightning is heading straight towards me! If a mortal in my village could dodge lightning, I can too as a demon!' - Naomi
*SHRRIEK*
The noise of the lightning was like no other as it changed to a reddish color and accelerated.
*Drip*
Naomi did manage to dodge the lightning but not fast enough. She coughed up blood.
'Damn It, how did it hit me?' - Naomi
She felt the left side of her body as a chunk of it was missing blood drip.
'How was it so fast?' - Naomi
"HAHA you idiot! My power isn't just regular lightning if it was you'd have no problem dodging it. I'm surprised you didn't get scorched, maybe my aim is off?" - Damon
He scoffed again
"My lightning is from Hell, few can conduct it like me even if they can no one is as good as me!" - Damon
Damon started to charge up his lightning again as it surrounded the room again and his hands came to a clap as multiple strips of lighting shot off of all the walls.
'MOVE!' - Naomi
She did her best to dodge as much as possible. Holes pierced all around her body tiny holes.
'Fuck! It hurts. I need to move faster, FASTER!' - Naomi
Naomi's speed started to push its limit as she tried to continuously dodge as much lightning as possible.
'The girl's fast. I have a feeling she can go even faster if I make her need to!' - Damon
Damon raised his hands in the air as he struck them down the lightning speed raised as he went on the attack.
'Shit!' - Naomi
The roof of the building collapsed down as the lightning struck him continuously he and Naomi made contact but she had no idea.
"AHHHHHHHH" - Naomi
He stuck her over and over again as she was nearly paralyzed.
'So much electricity…losing…conscious...ness.' - Naomi
Naomi's body felt weak.
"Everything…everything I have with this attack!" - Naomi
-SLASH-
Damon didn't see her move a muscle but the noise her attack made was apparent.
*Thud*
Naomi's body hit the floor. As the electricity seemed to carry Damon in the air as he laughed.
"HAHAHA she missed there's no way that was hilarious!" - Damon
He turned toward Grimm who stood still with a slight grin.
'The hell is he grinning about?' - Damon
-SLASH-
A cut across Damon's abdomen appeared as his eyes widened.
'How! Was it him? WHEN did he?' - Damon
"She did it earlier!" - Grimm
Grimm stood next to Damon in the air.
'Ha, now's my chance. He's so close. One attack, all I need is one!' - Damon
*Crackle*
Damon's lightning brightened up the area around them.
"You plan to attack me even after not being able to lost to her." - Grimm
Damon's laugh crackled with his lightning.
"You think one little cut is gonna stop me!" - Damon
*SNAP*
*CRACKLE*
"It's gonna take a lot more th-" - Damon
*SLASH*
Damon was suddenly slashed diagonally across his body.
'wha?!' - Damon
"I'm not surprised you haven't figured it out yet. With all that speed you can't think that fast? To give you credit I'm sure she doesn't even know how strong she is." - Grimm
"What are you talking about?" - Damon
Grimm stod in the air carelessly as Damon was bleeding from his mouth.
"Even if I told you I doubt you'd know how to defend against it." - Grimm
"TELL ME!" - Damon
*coughs*
"While vast, it's a simple technique she does without meaning to. Her slash with her knives is sharp and fast but it can be blocked, yes?"
"Is that a question!" - Damon
"No, it cannot. Her slash will hit its target no matter what is in its way. If something like another force is blocking the attack it will still hit. It might take some time before it reaches but it will hit." - Grimm
"That's impossible! That means it's impossible to block unless you dodge completely. With her speed! There's something you're not telling!" - Damon
Grimm looked at Damon's stressed eyes.
"She hit you 3 times didn't she? That last one seemed to have a lot behind it." - Grimm
Instant panic hit Damon trying to know for sure if that last Slash hit or not.
'It's impossible I didn't even see her come at me? He's lying! He's Hoping I bleed out so he doesn't have to fight me! Yeah, that's it YEAH!' - Damon
*CRACKLE*
Lightning was summoned around the area being a dark red color.
"I'll kill you for fun before I bleed out!" - Damon

Damon suddenly found himself on a rock in a dry and red land. He looked over to see a kid who was younger and appeared to be Damon as a child. The kid tried to summon lightning over and over again nothing but a short fuse would start.
"Grandpa?" - Young Kid
He said looking at Damon now.
'Where am I?' - Damon
Lighting struck the younger version of Damon as an older man walked through Damon.
"Disappointing! You are a disgrace to me just like your father." - Damon's Grandfather
Kid Damon got on his knees and bowed.
"I'm sorry grandpa! I will learn, I promise!" - Young Kid
"Your father said the same thing! Now he is dead because he was weak!" - Damon's Grandfather
Slight tears slowly went down both Damon's face and his look alike.
'Why am I crying?' - Damon
"Are those tears my boy?" - Damon's Grandfather
Lightning struck down on Damon's younger self.
"Disgraceful!" - Damon's Grandfather
Lightning struck again.
"Disappointing!" - Damon's Grandfather
Lightning struck again.
"Failure!" - Damon's Grandfather
'I forgot about these memories…so long ago.' - Damon
"You've grown weak," - Damon's Grandfather
Damon was shocked as his Grandfather spoke to him.
"You are nothing more than a failure and worst of all our bloodline has finally come to an end because of you." - Damon's Grandfather
"Grandpa…" - Damon
"You don't get the right to see me as family." - Damon's Grandfather
Lightning suddenly struck down at Damon as he fell to his knees.
"You are just like your father and soon you'll be reunited with him!" - Damon's Grandfather
"Grandpa…" - Young Kid
"I only wish I got the chance to send you to him myself." - Damon's Grandfather
"Father!" - Young Kid
The younger version of Damon stood up as he walked over to Grandpa and his older counterpart. He put his hand on the side of Damon's face.
"You did alright kid." - Young Kid
Tears went down his face as he realized.
"Dad?" - Damon
The kid smiled as they touched foreheads the area around them went dark as his grandfather was no longer there.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there." - Young Kid (Damon's Father)
It all went dark.

Damon looked up as he fell from the sky seeing Grimm stare down at him.
'I never stood a chance.' - Damon
He smiled uncomfortably.
'I did get a chance at something I never thought I would.' - Damon
"thank you"- Damon
His words were all but too quiet to be heard but the air around them shifted and Grimm felt it.
'This is a new sensation of feeling what happened to him?' - Grimm
Grimm suddenly shifted next to Naomi's body as her wound had been healed by herself but she was still unconscious. He threw her over his shoulder and started to walk once more.
'I don't know how she did it but her last slash managed to target his heart and only his heart. I wonder if she could hit me with it?How precise could it be against me if it did hit? Truly an interesting ability.' - Grimm
"Hey!" - Grimm
He shook her a bit as she was still dead silent.
'Guess she's still asleep.' - Grimm
Grimm took off as he nearly teleported to the end of the room with her on his shoulder. He walked as the clothes on his body started to change. Black pants and a white buttoned up with a black tie.
'Something else please.'
Black pants stayed as overalls also appeared with the white shirt's sleeves being pulled up to the middle of his wrist.
'What if I need you?'
A black cloth then wrapped around his wrist.
'Perfect.'
Grimm walked with his dark long hair complementing his pale skin and dark clothing. The hall before him was long and empty as the light of a room brightened at the end. Grimm walked for a moment.
'This feeling? What is it?' - Grimm
Grimm felt a tingle around his body.
'Excitement?' - Xavier
'Stay out of this.' - Grimm
'But I wanted to watch.' - Xavier
'Watch it from the dark.' - Grimm
Xavier's presence in Grimm's head ceased.
'I can't lay my finger on it nor can I see it but all these feelings are still quite new to me too. I guess I'll just have to find out like I did with the others.' - Grimm
He edged closer to the light and the opening.
'I'm coming to save you Hal.' - Grimm
The light started to engulf him.
'No matter what I might have to do. I have a feeling you might be the key to all of this.' - Grimm
