Chapter 26: Welcome Party

*Yawns*
Amon sat at the edge of his bed as he dropped to the floor doing a few push-ups. Amon stood up looking around his room.
'Guess I should get the day started.'
Amon walked outside of his room into a nice-looking apartment. Turning on a coffee pot it sizzled and made a welcoming smell across the kitchen. A radio on the corner of his kitchen counter chimed in.
"You are listening to Cafe Classics with-"
"Sarah."
"Tanner!"
"AND!"
"Jim-"
Amon switched channels and started to listen to a dispatch channel.
"Code-72 on Delbird Road, Toyo. I repeat code-"
*Phone Ring*
Amon finished pouring his coffee into a mug. Grabbing his phone he pressed the answer button not recognizing the number.
"Amon speaking,"
He listened carefully being informed his director was ready to admit him into Zefu's Division.
"Yes, of course, I'm available. Where to?"

Amon sat in the back of an all-black car that drove throughout the streets of Toyo. Not many officers live in such a place but Amon found it to be cheap and affordable living, especially being right on the border of Cafe he was a nice distance away between both sides of the evil in Toyo and the good in Cafe. Amon in the car scrolled on a hologram that was being projected out of the back of the driver's seat.
'Zefu's Division has some lengthy reports…'
As Amon scrolled through their history of cases he saw many be listed as costly and described as reckless in almost all cases.
'Out of all 7 divisions, their mission success rate is the highest with 98% only ahead of Division Dragon by 1 percent. They are also one of the older divisions meaning they've been around for a bit but it only seems recently they've been looking for recruits. Wait a minute…most of their missions are ranked 3-5 with only a few 2's.'
Amon laid back on his seat slightly.
'What kind of division am I getting myself mixed up with? I guess it is not every day a division leader asks to join in but still, I could've worked my way up through courses like advanced placement and work more call-ins. Then from there join a Division like Fire, Lynch, or even Death if I got lucky enough. Work my way up from there and get to Division Zero, the only division to ever be trusted to take Rank 0 missions.'
The car started to slow down.
"We are here Mr. Amon."
"Thank you for the ride."
Amon opened the door and walked out waving the driver away.
'It's been a few weeks since I've been to the main building.'
Amon looks out at the Official D.E.O. Headquarters as the building simultaneously switches spots seemingly at random. Halls exchanged places, rooms moved up and down, left to right, and even diagonally. On the outside, it looked impossible to follow.
'Yeah, I remember this view on my first day very intimidating.''
He scoffed as he started to walk forward.
'I need to contact my director but…where is her office again?'
*Swoosh*
Amon is suddenly grabbed aggressively by the collar as he is lifted off the ground. He looked up at the figure who had grabbed them they wore a gas mask and had odd clothing.
'A demon?'
*Muffled breathing*
His eyes were in anger as he tried to wiggle out of their grasp.
"Put me down!"
He pulls up on the arm of the person using it to swing his leg around in an attempt to kick the person but misses completely as the person lets go of him.
'What the Hell is going on?'
The person then shot forward at him as he descended. They caught him putting a mask on his face and he suddenly felt sleepy.
"Sleep."
The person carried him away into the sky and he slowly started to pass out and feel numb.
